    Been here twice and had a great time both times. Get the garlic cheese curd fries. Don't ask questions, just get them. A plate will easily feed 3-6 people as an appetizer. Fish tacos are great, burgers are great, servers are fun, prices are reasonable, it's a solid dining experience. We sat outside on their deck under the tree on a nice summer night and it was awesome. We live in the neighborhood and are definitely coming back.

    I work right down the street from this place and go in for happy hour after work and i really like the place. Great happy hour deals and the bartender is great.

    Went with a group 4, two of us liked our lunch, two of us didn't. Beer list is okay, but not awesome. I had the chicken po boy which I would have again. The chilli dog received low marks. Service was okay, but since it was pretty slow we thought it should have been better. I'd go back here, but I'm not beating down the doors.

    Wow - was I glad we went to the wrong place. We were setting out to try the 7th Street Tavern - and thought this was it (oops, but in a great way) so we went in. Did not discover our mistake till we were looking at a menu, and we decided to try this one first. We took our time perusing the menu and decided to try a small plate and a burger - as we were not overly hungry, and my companion wanted the Warm Mushroom Cup, and I decided on the NYC burger. The mushroom cup was flavored very well, and came out before the burger, so we started in. Mushrooms and gorgonzola, presented in a champagne cup with toasted baguette. If the baguette was toasted a bit more, this would have been a 5 star entry in my book, as is, it was still a bit moist on the bottom side. Wonderful flavor, and worth going back for. The NYC burger is a thing of beauty - burger with pastrami, sauerkraut, brown mustard on a dark rye bun - absolutely wonderful in all aspects - too bad I need to not have lunch to eat one myself with the wonderful fries that should be labeled pomme frites (these are french fries done right, crispy, and with the texture of a good baked potato on the inside). Rueben and a burger crossed with an amazing result, thank you 7th St. The portions are fairly large, so it may do you to either split things or order from the small plates menu unless you are hungry. Or you can just order course after course until well sated - great find.

    I might have to go back when the polar vortex isn't trying to kill us all. The food was good. The parking lot is small. I had seen them doing renovations for quite a while and was interested to try it. Definitely a good place to go if you are into beers fancier than just Coors Light.

    my sister and her husband and I ended up missing our flight and decided to try the 7th Street Social while we waited for the next flight. Turns out missing our flight ended up being the best mistake we ever made. This place was amazing and I'll be making a stop there every time I'm in town.

    Great food and great service. Very kid friendly. They gave pur little guy a bag of goldfish when we got there, abd brought his food out early. We ordered him mac and cheese and it was a gourmet plate, no Kraft here. We have not had a bad meal or experience there yet. We continue to go back!!!

    Liked the beer and the fries but everything else was very mediocre. Gourmet burgers were definitely not gourmet. Ambiance is pretty good. Service was just okay.

    After a Friday afternoon event in St. Paul, My wife and I headed down West 7th Street to 7th Street Social. I'd read a favorable review in the Pi Press and wanted to try the place out. Glad I did. We started with an shared beet salad, which was terrific, and so huge we wound up boxing part of it. My wife gave me a taste of her French Onion Soup. Rich, deep flavor, cheesy, wonderful. The Reuben I got was the closest I've experienced (at any TC restaurant) to the gold standard of quality: Cecil's. I tasted her Meatloaf sandwich, an apple butter slathered slice of meatloaf on Wild Rice/cranberry bread. Drool worthy. I don't get out of the 'burbs often enough to patronize this restaurant. I sure hope the neighborhood locals do. This place is a gem. ps. A special shout-out to Patrick, who looked to be juggling a number of responsibilities there, but was still totally welcoming, attentive, and helpful.

    Nice remodel, it has the 'new restaurant smell'! Greeted by a very nice woman as we entered (about 6:15 on a Friday night) and opted to sit at a table in the bar- the dinner crowds hadn't filled in yet, so bar area looked more fun. Our server Sara (or Sarah?) was wonderful, educated us on the menu, drinks, beers, new ownership- her pride in the place showed which was great. Tried the flatbread first, tasty, not too heavy and good for starter. We split a griddle burger with pepper jack cheese and fries, both were very good. The bun did fall apart so you had to eat it with a fork, but no problem. Cole slaw and pickles were excellent, I wanted more! Ketchup had a nice flavor. We'll definitely go back.

    Gourmet Burger with bacon and pepper jack cheese was absolutely delicious. Juicy, flavorful and filling. You can tell when there is a talented chef at the helm when a burger that flavorful and succulent is constructed in a very short time. (Little to no wait at all). The homemade ketchup has a slight sweetness to it which was great. Home made bleu cheese as well had a nice tang to it. Fantastic first experience, definitely will return.

    Brunch... The owners definitely put money into the decor. It does look nice inside. That's where it stops. Oh, and the water was served in a nice bottle. Yup, that's the only good I I can say about this place. Why dump tons of dough into a space and then serve food on dishes that must have been purchased from a Perkins liquidation sale? That's also where the food must have come from. It's started with generic coffee and ended with overhearing the waitress telling another customer they were out of eggs Benedict and meat loaf. But " they were going to the store to get more hollandaise". It's egg yolk, butter and lemons. EGGS people. Brunch... ? The waitress couldn't have cared any less about anything she serving. Yes, I get that if I was at Perkins paying Perkins prices, but it was $40 for brunch for 2 people. **BTW when I use the reference "Perkins", I mean it as a derogatory term. ** I have never actually had to run to the bathroom while I was eating. And no,, I didn't continue to eat after that. I'm sure the neighborhood will all say " ooh, it's just fine!",and continue to support another below mediocre St. Paul miss.

    Excellent walleye and golden potatoes. Pot roast is average. All local craft beers on tap. Pleasant decor. Will come back.

    We stopped in here one night in early October after driving around for 45 minutes unable to decide what we wanted to eat. I wanted to try it as it was a new restaurant in our neighborhood that had appeared busy since opening. We were seated right away at a table in the dining room. It was a weeknight and not particularly busy but the parking lots were full! I found this very strange as when I looked around there were barely as many people in the restaurant as there were cars in the parking lot. Whatever. The table we were at was fine and I liked the way the place had been redone, somewhat modern with minimal decorations. Very cool. But the problem was it was sooo loud! Noise carries and bounces in this place. Our server was a very very nice young man, but I think he was a rookie as he didn't seem very knowledgeable and looked stunned when I asked him what he recommended. He mumbled over a few things pointing at the menu. Ok, never mind. We each ordered a glass of wine and the garlic cheese fries which sounded tasty. I was somewhat disappointed as the cheese were cheese curds and didn't melt well. The fries were obviously from a bag and there was a little garlic and parsley on top. Nothing bad, just not great. Since we now felt kind of lost on the menu, we both ordered burgers to play it safe. I ordered the fiorenza burger and Chad ordered the NYC burger. I was a little confused why the server didn't ask how we wanted it done so I asked if they were all cooked to a certain temp, he said yea they came out medium well but were thin patties. Ok, I'll give it a shot. I was a little surprised there wasn't a side offered with the burger, not that I needed more fries, but was then surprised when it came out with some tasty house coleslaw. The food came out really quick also. And I understood the temp thing right away. You get two patties per burger and it is obvious that they are made in house daily. We both loved our burgers. Very big too. We both left stuffed. We thought about dessert but were just too full. I was hoping we would get a number of opportunities to go back and try other menu items but we had to move to Arizona the following week. I think this place has great potential and I hope it does well seeing as it is a great addition to the neighborhood

    I, like many others was excited to have an upscale place open on West 7th. I have been to 7th StreetSocial several times and really liked it. Last night however the place had a total different vibe and I felt it was very cold and unwelcoming. It took at least 5 minutes for the bartender to even notice I had come in. She was friendly enough but definitely on her own time. When I looked at the menu I was disappointed to see that there were some major changes. The new menu seemed a bit disjointed and I only found two things that I would order. They still offer the Lobster Pot Pie but some of my past favorites are gone like the Reuben and the shrimp tacos. It seemed like other diners felt the same as all I saw coming out of the kitchen was fish and chips. I won't give up because my past experience hoping this was a fluke. I also was surprised to see how dead it was as on the past it had been busy.

    Ugh, I so wanted to love this place in our neighborhood, as I've seen it change names a few times over the years, and I wanted someone to be successful,especially after the work they put into remodeling and the good things I'd read about the new venue. Stopped in and it was pretty full and lively which was good. Decided to sit at a table in the bar area. Several options and open tables. Sat there for nearly 10 minutes and NOBODY even looked at us. During that time a group of guys walked in, sat at the bar and were being treated great by the female bartender so we decided maybe the seats at the bar were the way to go. Moved to the bar, still invisible. 5 more minutes. 2 different bartenders were walking right over near us, looked at us, doing things admittedly, but said nothing....not we will be with you in a minute, not is someone helping you, nothing. My spouse wanted to leave, I literally said "c'mon I've been wanting to try this place, and really want to like this place". Finally a bartender came over and was immediately defensive about what he had been doing? I actually thought he was a bar back not allowed to serve, thus the reason we were being ignored. So it got off to a rocky start. We let him know it was our first time and not such a great start, so we had his attention and service, thankfully. The good: The food was GREAT. Burger and Reuben chosen, smoked salmon was not available which was the plan,. The food did not disappoint. I ordered the mushrooms with the cheeseburger and mushrooms were missing, but the burger was great without it. I've read reviews about the cole slaw here, hubby loved it, I thought it was ok, kind of dry and bland which goes to show different tastes for different folks here with the menu items. Loved the homemade ketchup, hubby didn't like it. Again different strokes different folks. The bad: The start of our experience here service-wise noted above. When we decided to sit at the bar area, the hostess said you can sit anywhere but here! (Pointing out a nice rounded booth in the bar). Ok, you want to save it for a party of 4, but hey, it's the bar and open seating! Or not? They were out of the famous smoked salmon, but great recovery by the bartender to give us a gift certificate for a free one next time. So that was a bad turned good. The weird: There was a woman sitting at the bar by the register drinking who was grabbing bottles and opening them and Kind of overly involved, so might have been an off duty employee. Then she ordered a couple of drinks, one being a shot, which she drank most of, then put back on the bar and the female bartender covertly finished it. Bam! Weird! The manager guy looked completely bored and was not seemingly involved in managing at all, didn't see or acknowledge us that whole beginning time we were trying to get noticed and get waited on....he was basically watching the game on TV and walked around talking to employees from time to time. Then the bartender made a really nice hot toddy for him, and he handed to manager guy who disappeared into the back. So the service staff here seems to be a little familiar or weird or this place seems to be trying to be an upscale trendy place but isn't. Yet. The overall: I think the food is good, I want to try other menu items, and I want to give this neighborhood restaurant another go. We want to like this place. :)

    Had a wonderful Birthday dinner here last night., Food was out of this world and exceeded only by the great service. Everything is made on site, even the condiments. Great small plates, salads, desserts and entrees.

    Quite possibly the worst up martini I've ever had. Totally lacking in any noticeable taste of gin, and bruised beyond belief. Very disappointing.

    I and six friends had lunch here and all of us were very pleased. I found the food unique and delicious. I had the Cuban sandwich and felt it was the best I've had except for the Columbia Restaurant in Tampa (owned and staffed by Cubans). Our waitress was charming, knowledgeable and attentive. We split 3 deserts and declared all three very, very good. All of us concluded we wanted to return another day.
